Recipes

Daniel and I love to cook. We also love to cook complicated meals. However, with time being on short demand, I know we will need to cook simpler, less time costly meals. We have a handful of "simple" meals we like to cook, but I would like to collect recipes and ideas from others on:
one pot meals, slow cook (but less time prep!) meals, quick meals, etc. Please share with us. :)

I'm all about simple meals! I don't like to cook though. I have a list of 10 recipes that I make over and over. We're getting a little sick of them, but at least I know how to make them!

I like that website. What a great idea! I'll have to check there frequently for menu ideas. :) The only problem is that many things in the U.S. that are cheap (like some pre-packaged things, cheeses, soups, frozen veggies etc.)are expensive here or non-existant. :(

Do you have a good white sauce recipe? I just made an excellent one last night - I'm going to post it, that's how good it is.

I live by my Better Homes and Gardens cookbook. They have most of their recipes online at http://recipes.bhg.com/recipes/

And, by the way, I tagged you in my Messy Desk Meme!

Tree, I totally understand about not being able to find things. I need to get you a copy of the Wycliffe cookbook. It's great because none of the recipes call for pre-packaged foods, and they have lots of ideas for substitutions.

I have a food blog with lots of recipes (or, I'm trying to collect lots of recipes) Unfortunately, I prefer cooking sweets than Real Food, but there are Real Food recipes on there too- and mostly from-scratch, and nothing fancy.

What items are cheap and easily accessible?

Larissa- we can get the staples (rice, pasta, etc.), veggies, and meats. (See my post on "frugality in the D.R" for me details). :) I would love more recipe suggestions. :)
